Jamie Lee Curtis will reprise her iconic role as Laurie Strode in the new Halloween film, which is currently going by the simple title of Halloween. It will be released on October 19, 2018 via Universal Pictures.
Curtis starred in the first Halloween in 1978, as well as Halloween II (1981), Halloween H20 (1998), and Halloween: Resurrection (2002). Her character was killed off in the latter, so it will be interesting to see how she’s brought back.
David Gordon Green (Pineapple Express, Joe) is set to direct from a script he co-wrote with frequent collaborator Danny McBride (better known as an actor from the likes of Eastbound & Down and Alien: Covenant).
Jason Blum (Paranormal Activity, The Purge) is producing
the film, with original Halloween director John Carpenter on board as an
executive producer. Carpenter is also hoping to compose the score.
