I love the “Re-Animator” reference in “Puppet Master III”. The spastic Nazi zombie that goes crazy and shoots itself is like the opening of “Re-Animator” with Dr. Gruber. A bang of an opening.

That’s definitely a neat callback to Re-Animator. But the Re-Animator references in PM3 are even more overt than that.

This was the first in the series to show the serum being injected to the puppets via syringe.

Which also seems like a very clear Re-Animator nod.

Mondo will release screen printed poster for Hereditary and A Ghost Story tomorrow, June 8, at a random time.

Hereditary is designed by Randy Ortiz, measures 24×36, is limited to
200, and costs $50. A Ghost Story is designed by Sam Wolfe Connelly,
measures 18×24, is limited to 175, and costs $45.

Hereditary hits theaters tomorrow via A24. Written and directed by first-timer Ari Aster, the film stars Toni Collette, Gabriel Byrne, Alex Wolff, Ann Dowd, and Milly Shapiro. Watch the trailer here.
