I heard from someone on twitter last night that “Oath views Tumblr as a wretched swamp of porn that they’d rather just went away in order to save them money,” with the implication that being pulled from the Apple store was just the excuse they needed to ban content and hopefully destroy the website so they don’t have to deal with it anymore. Making everyone leave is the goal.
